Terms & Conditions of Hire
When placing a booking with Rock It Inflatables Ltd, either by phone, over the internet, text, email or any other form, the Client hereby agrees to abide by our Terms & Conditions of Hire. This is a legally binding contract to protect both yourself, the Client, and the company, Rock It Inflatables Limited.
Please find below a copy of the Terms and Condition of Hire that you are required to sign upon delivery.
TERMS and CONDITIONS OF HIRE
Definitions
1.1 The "Client" means the person/s, organisation or company booking the equipment with the "Company".
1.2 The "Company" means Rock It Inflatables Limited.
1.3 The equipment will be any or all items owned by the Company that have been supplied to the Client for the duration of the hire period.
Bookings
2.1 All equipment remains the property of the Company
2.2 By placing a booking with the Company, whether verbally, written or electronically, the Client is bound by the Company terms and conditions of hire
Disclaimer
3.1 Please note that all persons using the equipment do so at their own risk. The Client is fully responsible / liable for any damage or injury occurring from or as a result of misuse or reckless use. These guidelines are for the safety of all people using this equipment and it is the sole responsibility of the Client to ensure they are adhered to. The Company cannot accept any responsibility for any injury, loss or damage caused to anyone using this equipment either through accident, neglect or misuse.
Condition of Hire
4.1 It is the responsibility of the Client to ensure the equipment is fully supervised by a responsible adult at ALL TIMES.
4.2 NO persons over the age of 15 are permitted on the equipment unless stated otherwise. Some equipment has younger age restrictions as stated on the website, if unsure, please ask a member of staff or refer to the Company website.
4.3 NO persons under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any other intoxicating substance are allowed on the equipment.
4.4 NO food, drink, gum, dangerous chemicals, pets, toys and/or sharp implements are permitted on the equipment, including mats.
4.5 Users of the equipment must remove shoes, glasses, jewellery, badges, any long necklaces, buckles or sharp objects.
4.6 Ensure equipment is not overcrowded. It is recommend a maximum number of 8 children on larger inflatables and less on smaller inflatables. Limit numbers according to the age and size of children using it. Try to avoid large and small children from using it at the same time.
4.7 Prevent horseplay and ensure children are not pushing, colliding, fighting or behaving in a manner likely to injure or cause distress to others.
4.8 NO climbing on the sides, roof or supporting beams of the inflatable. If applicable, users must not climb/stand on stacked soft play shapes.
4.9 If applicable, Slides are to be used by sliding down feet first only. Obstacle Courses must operate a one way round system from start to finish.
4.10 NO silly string, streamers, party poppers or similar ink based products on or near the equipment. These type of products can stain, and are difficult to remove. The cost of cleaning will be charged to the client at £30 per hour plus costs. If these stains are not removable we may require the full replacement/repair costs from the client. If using face paint, please ensure this is water based and easily removed with a cloth. Staining left by face paint will result in the Client being invoiced for cleaning or repair
4.11 Users who are, or have suffered from Neck, Back, or Heart conditions, feel unwell, or who are Pregnant are not permitted on equipment.
4.12 NO water and/or hosepipes are permitted on the equipment.
4.13 Ensure safety mats are in the correct position at the entrance and exit points of the inflatable at all times.
4.14 Users are not permitted on the equipment during set up until the company representative has agreed it is safe to use, nor are users permitted on an inflatable during time of inflation or deflation.
4.15 Keep children clear of all electrical connections, fan unit and extension leads.
4.16 Do NOT allow any heat/fire sources including cigarettes, BBQ’s, fires, heaters or similar, on or near the equipment.
4.17 The client is NOT permitted to move the equipment from the position it has been erected/set up upon the Company representative leaving the premises.
4.18 For outdoor hires, the equipment must not be used in heavy rain or windy conditions. In the event of rain, remove all users from the equipment until the rain has past, then dry off any water with a towel, before use continues. The industry recommends a maximum wind speed of Force 5 on the Beaufort scale of 28 - 38 kph (19-24 mph) when using inflatables. Force 5 is a fresh breeze when small trees and leaves begin to sway, whereas Force 6 is a strong breeze when large branches are in motion, whistling can be heard in telephone lines and umbrellas can only be handled with difficulty. 4.19 Check periodically that the inflatable is securely tied to the fan and the stakes or anchorage is still securing the equipment to the ground where applicable. If at all in doubt – do not use the equipment and call the Company.
4.20 The equipment will be supplied to the Client in a clean condition and it is the responsibility of the Client to have the equipment in the same condition at time of collection. Failure to do so will result in the Company charging the Client at £30 per hour to clean the inflatable.
4.21 The Client agrees to pay the full cost of repair, including carriage to and from the manufacturer, for any damage caused to the equipment, whether malicious or accidental, whether by human, animal or other objects, other than wear and tear during the duration of the hire period.
4.22 The Client agrees to return all items at the end of the hire period. It is the Clients responsibility to ensure all items hired are available for collection; any lost, stolen or damaged items will be invoiced by the Company to the Client. The hirer MUST ensure that any persons collecting the equipment are representatives of the Company by requesting proof of the Booking ID number quoted on booking correspondence and signed Terms & Conditions.
4.23 The Client must inform the Company of any underground services,tanks, pipes or other such items that may come into contact with the stakes upon securing the hired items the site where the inflatable is to be set up.
Power Supply
5.1 Client is responsible to ensure adequate and safe 240V AC mains supply is available on delivery and throughout the hire period. The Company cannot be held liable for power cuts /loss of power. No compensation will be paid for loss of use. If loss of power occurs, remove users IMMEDIATELY
5.2 It is the Clients responsibility to ensure the fan unit is not obstructed with any material or objects that covers the airflow inlet. In the event of mechanical breakdown of fuel or electric fans, call the office immediately and where possible a replacement will be supplied at the earliest convenience. Any loss of use of equipment will not be compensated unless due to a fault of the Company. Compensation is calculated pro rota of the cost of the hire, excluding any delivery charges, based on the event/party times. No further compensation will be paid irrespective of expenses occurred.
5.3 If petrol/diesel fans/generators are being used, ensure that a safety barrier is erected at all times around the fan/generator. When re-fuelling the fan, remove all persons from the equipment, deflate and refuel with utmost care and attention.
